Triple fab

Yes indeedy. On “nine-oh-nine” (of course), “The Beatles” for Rock Band will be released. Will I be the undisputed champeen of the world at it? Mm-hm.

Now I must buy it, or at least pre-order it. Then I need #1 Son to have another RB party in his garage this fall. I must seek him out this day.

The video screenshots look pretty good, and it goes without saying that the music is dynamite. The likenesses of the Fabs are hardly compelling, but that could just be me showing my ignorance of the difficulties in turning human features into computer generated images. But really…couldn’t they have just used tracing paper? Cripes.

Kidding.

Years ago, one of my students asked me, “What was so fantastic about the Beatles? Why do you think they were so important?” Heh. She stood there awhile.

OK, I’m off. I have a really nice Monday planned. I am going to school for the day — because I want to. Hoddy-a like that??

Fink out.

Ah, you own a video game contraption? You will definitely have to give me a full report, as you will probably get to play it before I will!

It looks Ku-Ku-ka-Choo COOL! I feel tre old that I’m not up on all this video game stuff. I had to dabble in that world when I worked for Nokia & we had this gaming phone called N-Gage (it was a cool concept, just way ahead of it’s time…). I finally played Wii about a year ago (bowling & golf) – and I was really close to buying one of those!

Make sure I get an invite to the RB garage party at #1 son’s garage!!

And you are hereby invited, sweetness! I just wish you could come for karaoke night over July 4th weekend. *That* will be hilarious…

Of course it’s for RockBand… and I have Guitar Hero. You should get your own game console. Spend hours rotting your brain and whatnot without leaving the comfort of home. :P

Yeah, that’s all I’d need, eh Skylar? HA

I have resisted getting “into” video games for that precise reason. I know me; I’d be worse than Conger…

As the resident gaming nerd I approve of this entry. Also, the reason that the Fab Four don’t look entirely fab is because the X-Box 360 is unfortunately a inferior gaming platform. *shrug* That is also the reason I will not be getting this, as much as I would like to.

Well if it was for only PS3 and computer then it would be better quality images because the PS3 is graphically superior to the X-Box 360.

I’m a Guitar Hero player myself, on the Wii, would LOVE to see the Beatles for GH/Wii. We own Rock Band but both strumming and fretting on the RB guitar is rather clumsy compared to the GH guitar. Sadly, as a nearly-40 year-old GH expert, I regret only that my GH Les Paul does not, like the RB Fender, feature two sets of frets, including one set at the base of the neck to better mimic the heavy metal solo. I should be happy it doesn’t- each time I play GH, I’m already so close to turning back the clock over 25 years, to when I was a 7th grader in front of the mirror jamming along to Ozzy and Iron Maiden with a ‘guitar’ (Flying V) I made out of particle board and equipped with a strap made of yellow rope, occasionally taking a few shots from a squirt bottle to mimic heavy metal sweating.

So I’m not sure I’ve asked you before, but did/do you have a favorite Beatle?

HAA that is awesome. You krak me up, Ross.

And my favorite Beatle was/is John Lennon. Forever and always. Totally irresistible and unmistakable voice — slays me every time.
