Are you ready?

For the long weekend, I mean. I surely am.

Labor Day is always a favorite for me, because it allows me to have a brief break after school begins to re-energize and get ready for the long haul that is September. It’s one of my least favorite months, musically (lots of re-teaching and redevelopment in the choirs to deal with).

But it also signals the beginning of football season, which makes me glad. *yay* Not that the Browns have a hope of doing better than 8-8 this year, but it would be nice. It’s better than a(nother) losing season. Let’s not go there, shall we?

Instead, let’s hear about everyone’s Labor Day Weekend plans. What’s up for you? For me — nada. And that’s how I like it. (Well, there’s choreography and school work, but that doesn’t count as “weekend plans.”)

Get happy, fiends — it’s almost here!

This labor day weekend a friend and I are going to Nashville! We are leaving this afternoon and staying through Monday. We have never been there before so we are excited! Our plan is just to wing it. Ever been there? Any suggestions? Hope you have a great weekend!

I’m seeing the photos on Facebook — how fun!! And yes, I’ve been, but only to drive through/stop to eat. I’ve never been to the Opry, although I would like to go. I saw your picture in front of Ryman — you’ve made it!

Hey There Dear Friend…I too love the Labor Day weekend, has always been the doorway to Fall for me which is my favorite season. This Labor Day weekend will in fact be nothing but labor as Liz and I will be working on flood repair here at the Starbale Ranch. Torrential rains earlier this week washed out part of our road; knocked down a section of our block retaining wall; lots of debris cleanup on the property and barb wire repair down at the bridge. So…we will be busy (still strong like bull) but rest assured we will leave time for cervesas and hot tub time and a slab of roast beast on the grill. You and The Thriller be blessed this weekend!

Ugh, how terrible! I had no idea you’d had flooding out there. Poor Prescott has had the beatdown of the decade this summer. I hope all is getting back to normal. (I know you’re still strong as a bull, Handsome.)

Have fun this holiday weekend — roast a beast in my honor!!
