Ohio may be all those things, but the townhouse my wife and I just bought in Austin is reportedly surrounded by wolves (one ate a neighbor's dog the other day, no kidding), tarantulas and scorpions. Personally, I'll take the rain.

Awesome - thanks, Ross! I always try to shy away from saying things like, "I read somewhere..." or "I heard that..." Cool that you found that resource. So you live in Texas, eh? BoomR lives in Dallas. That means you are both way warmer than I am up here in drippy, rainy, freezing-cold Ohio.

Dynamite entry! Man that was a fun read! Forgot all about that show, and I live about 3 hours from Southfork.

For what it's worth, this is from Alex McNeil's "Total Television", 4th edition:

"To help insure secrecy up to the last minute, at least five alternate endings were filmed--Kristin, Sue Ellen, Cliff, Ellie and Jock were all filmed shooting JR--and the one with Kristin was delivered to the network on the day of the broadcast."

Ah-ha .... and the dawn breaks, Glasshoppa. :-)

Did you also know that the man who played Clayton Farlow (a guy by the name of Howard Keel) was also a wonderful Broadway musical star? He played Adam in Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, and Frank Butler in Annie Get Your Gun, among other roles, in both the movies and on Broadway.

How 'bout that?

I never knew Patrick Duffy was in Dallas (It's a wee little bit before my time). When I was a small tyke watching "Step by Step" by Mom would constantly call Patrick Duffy 'Bobby'. Now I know why. I guess you learn something new everyday.
